  • Welcome to OWL Sakai

    Access to OWL Sakai will be removed for the general Western community after April 30, 2026.

    Academic courses are running in OWL Brightspace. Other content is being migrated or transitioned off OWL Sakai according to the OWL Migration Plan.

    Access to all Western Human Resources training courses in OWL Sakai will end on March 20, 2026

    Training managed by Western Human Resources will no longer be available in OWL Sakai starting Friday, March 20, 2026. Employees will be able to access training in OWL Brightspace beginning Monday, March 23, 2026.

    Actions Required for Academic Course Sites

    • If you are the maintainer of an academic course site, please ensure you have exported any necessary content before April 30, 2026. If you need assistance exporting your course content, contact the WTS Helpdesk.
    • If you have an academic course that will be offered in the Summer 2026 term, request migration by March 31, 2026.

    Actions Required for Project Sites

    • If you are the maintainer of a project site, please ensure you have plans to move the content to an alternate solution by April 30, 2026.
    • If you are not a site maintainer but require access to a project site beyond April 30, 2026, please confirm the site maintainer is aware that access will be removed after that date and is actively working on transitioning the content to an alternate solution.
